Workshop Goals

  • Engage educators in discussion about the use of stream tables and flumes in their courses
  • Develop new teaching activities for the Emriver collection
  • Give and receive feedback on teaching ideas for stream tables and flumes

Dates

The workshop will take place virtually on Zoom over two days. Day 1 of the workshop will be October 22, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm US Central Time. Day 2 will be October 29, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm US Central Time.  (Note that the times are not the same for both days.)

Expectations

During the workshop, participants are expected to:

  • participate in all sessions and contribute to discussions
  • submit a draft teaching activity and provide reviews of other participant activities
  • read and abide by the SERC Code of Professional Conduct

Costs

There are no costs associated with participating in the workshop.

Maximum Number of Participants

This virtual workshop will have a maximum capacity of 60 participants.  Registration will be closed once we reach that point, but we will provide a wait list option to fill any vacancies created by cancelations.
