Code of Conduct at the Rendezvous
NAGT meetings and events foster the exchange of ideas, through open and respectful dialogues at oral and poster sessions, workshops, field trips, short courses, mentorships and other NAGT-supported programs. NAGT promotes, provides, expects and endorses a professional and respectful atmosphere and values a diversity of views and opinions. The NAGT Activities Code of Conduct is important to promoting diversity and creating an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative environment for all people.
All participants in NAGT activities - including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, NAGT staff, members of the media, vendors, and service providers - are expected to abide by this NAGT Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct applies in all venues, including field trips, webinars, ancillary events and social gatherings, and on-line forums and discussions associated with the NAGT.
COVID-19 Policies and Information
Rendezvous COVID-19 policies are designed to minimize the risk to individuals and our community while also following venue, local, state, and federal health guidelines. By implementing these policies, NAGT and the EER planning committee are asking attendees to protect the community and each other, while continuing to participate in a diverse, inclusive, and thriving community. When registering for the Rendezvous, all attendees affirmed either that they are vaccinated or will have a 3rd party test 72 hours before event and only attend if negative.
- Get tested. Before traveling to Minnesota, please consider testing for COVID-19 within 72 hours before event. Do not attend the Rendezvous if you test positive for COVID-19.
- Get vaccinated. COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States are effective at protecting people (especially those who are boosted) from getting ill.
- Bring a mask. Masks are not required in most indoor or outdoor settings at University of Minnesota-owned locations. You may ask colleagues and others to wear a mask, but they aren't required to wear one.
- Please do not attend events associated with the Rendezvous if you are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19.
Connect Via Social Media and our Digital Message Board
- Message Board
- Looking to share a ride to and from the airport? New to the Rendezvous and looking for lunch/dinner companions? Do you want to follow up with folks following discussions started in your workshop or poster session? Please utilize our digital message board to continue the conversations and networking.
- Twitter
- If you know of something that you think other participants should know about, just send a tweet to @nagtgeo and include the hashtag #EarthER22. We'll be gathering all those tweets together on a page so that we can all benefit in near-real time.
- Facebook
- The Rendezvous will also be sharing images and posts of interesting things happening via the NAGT Facebook page. Be sure to "Like" NAGT so you'll get these updates as well.
Going Green: Get Rendezvous Information Online
- Bring your laptop or wireless device; the Rendezvous is "green" and will not be printing an Official Program.
- There will be ample maps and signage at the registration desk (the Program is available online) but please have the Rendezvous website bookmarked for accessing program information on your laptop or device.
- In addition, you may find it handy to have your device at many workshops, mini-workshops, and teaching demos.
- Forgot what workshops you registered for? No problem, your name tag will include these details.
Presenting at the Rendezvous?
- Review the Presenter Guidelines web page regarding format and how to upload a digital copy of your presentations and materials. If you are presenting a poster, please bring it with you. Oral presentations should be uploaded no later than 8:00 a.m. the morning of your presentation. If you are leading a teaching demo, please bring any materials you may need.
Review the Program
- We hope that you will take some time to look at the official Program and plan how to maximize the Rendezvous offerings for you. While you are expected to attend the full morning workshop for which you registered, you have lots of opportunities to customize the afternoon. Follow a particular theme or mix and match to create your own conference experience - we want to have your time at the Rendezvous be as rewarding and productive as possible! While you can freely move between contributed oral sessions, if you plan to attend an afternoon mini-workshop please stay in the workshop for its full duration.
Evening Email
- Be sure to check your email for our nightly communications which will include last-minute updates and highlights for the upcoming day.
We look forward to seeing you in the Twin Cities soon!
