    I am participating in a project to test teaching modules focused on building data analysis skills in solid Earth courses. As part of this study I will be helping the project to collect data on student data skills and comfort, as well as their attitude and self-efficacy. One of the lead institutions, Carleton College, has accepted IRB responsibilities on behalf of the whole project, including the other lead institution (University of Minnesota). They are willing to accept IRB responsibility for all institutions at which the resources will be tested. However, I wanted to notify you of my involvement with this project and check if you wish to undertake an additional review or would simply like any more information. I plan to start testing teaching resources during the fall term.
