Faculty Development Throughout the Year
State Your Case! includes a wide variety of faculty development opportunities at all three institutions during both the academic year and the summer, ranging from hour-long lunchtime discussions to two-day workshops. All faculty development events, irrespective of location, are open to all consortium faculty members. Travel expenses between Northfield and St. Paul are reimbursed, and workshop participation includes stipends. Below is a brief description of each type of event and links to more information.
Campus Learning and Teaching Center events
Discussions, talks, presentations, and mini-workshops focused on project-related teaching and assessment strategies are hosted by the learning and teaching centers of all three institutions as part of their regular programming. This link will take you to the academic year schedules of the St. Olaf College Center for Innovation in the Liberal Arts, the Carleton College Perlman Center for Learning and Teaching, and the Macalester College Center for Scholarship and Teaching.
Workshops
Workshops span one or two days and are often led by faculty members or consultants from other institutions. This link includes information for upcoming workshops, and access to selected materials (including participant lists) from previous workshops.
