Create an Account in the SERC CMS

This course is hosted by the Science Education Resource Center (SERC) at Carleton College. The Content Mangagement System (CMS) enables us to have private online discussions. Before you can engage in an online discussion with your colleagues, you will need to create an account in the SERC CMS.


Help! I am having difficulty creating an account.

  • We used what you entered as your school email address on your application form as your log-in id.
  • First, please be sure that you are using your school email when you try to create the account. If that does not work, it is possible that you may have mis-typed your school email when you submitted it.
  • To verify the email that the SERC CMS recorded, email Sarah_Hill@terc.edu from 8 AM to 4 PM Eastern. Outside that time frame, email Carla_McAuliffe@terc.edu. But please do not email us, unless you have tried all possible school emails you may have used....Remember, there are over 100 of you.
  • Last, if you still cannot create an account using the email we have recorded, then email sfox@carleton.edu. But when you email Sean, please be sure to include the exact wording and details of any error message you may be getting.
