The following questions are designed to assess your ability to mentally slice through a three dimensional geologic structure expressed in a block diagram. Like all spatial thinking skills, research shows that this skill can be taught and learned. Many Geoscience instructors use this assessment at the beginning of a class to see what the range of skill levels in the class is, and again at the end of a class to see how much students' skills have improved.
If you are completing this for a class, your responses will be shared with your instructor.
