Purpose

Evaluating a lab in introduction to Earth System Science

Implementation

This rubric is used to determine the grade on one lab in the Introduction to Earth System Science course.

Use of the Data

Used as part of grade for course

Effectiveness

Using a grading rubric makes it easier for the TAs to grade the lab; the students know exactly what they are being asked to do; and the burden shifts to the students to demonstrate understanding versus the TAs having to tease this out.
