In early 2026, the ITYC Summit Project is running a virtual program for PIs and Co-PIs who received awards in 2025.

Why Participate?

- Amplify Your Impact: Tell others about your results and lessons learned, explore effective strategies for leading grant-funded projects, and contribute to the national dialogue on STEM education.
- Stipend: Registered participants will receive a $600 stipend for attending the 6 sessions and completing the expected deliverables for the program — a "micro-poster" about their ITYC project for session 1 and a short reflection following session 6.
Timeline
- Interest Form: Complete by Friday, January 16, 2026.
- Webinar: Friday, January 23, 2026 - 1:00 PM ET | 12:00 PM CT | 11:00 AM MT | 10:00 AM PT
- Program Registration: Registration has closed for this year's program.
- Sessions run from February 27-May 8, 2026.
Sessions
The program will run on 6 Fridays between the end of February and the beginning of May. Each session will be 2.5 hours starting at 12:00 Eastern Time and encompassing two separate but related topical units. There will be an optional half-hour for informal conversations following each session.
Dates and Topics
- February 27: Getting to know you: Introductions and learning about your ITYC projects. Participants will share microposters about their project in small breakout groups.
- March 13: Grant management.Overview of post-award challenges and support, then a panel of 3 ITYC PIs followed by Q&A.
- March 27: Leadership and partnerships.A leadership development session, followed by a panel of 2YC grants officers on effective partnerships.
- April 10: Supporting student success: Strategies, outcomes, and evidence of success. Facilitated concurrent sessions about undergraduate research, 2YC-4YC transfer, other strategies to support student success, and faculty professional development.
- May 1: Evaluation. Interactive session on strengthening evaluative thinking, then a panel of 2YC PIs sharing their work, responding to questions posed by participants in a round of breakouts.
- May 8: Communicating project outcomes. Participants will select two of the following three concurrent sessions: writing NSF reports, getting published, disseminating your outcomes, then time for reflection, breakouts, end-of-workshop evaluation.
Informational Webinar - January 23, 2026
2025 ITYC awardees are invited to join us for an informational webinar about the program on Friday, January 23, 2026. The webinar will take place on Zoom at 1:00 PM ET | 12:00 PM CT | 11:00 AM MT | 10:00 AM PT. Invitees will receive a calendar event with the connection information a few days prior to the webinar.
