Summary
This is a writing assignment for first-year composition. Students have a sample essay that uses statistics and case studies as evidence. Students are asked to use statistics persuasively.

Context for Use
What I have included here is a the short assignment that is particularly concerned with integrating statistical evidence into an argument. It is part of a larger assignment, and argumentative essay. It is one of the four essays that students must complete for this course.

You would need to get a copy of Gregory Mantsios' "Class in America--2003. It is published in the course text I have selected, Rereading America: Cultural Contexts for Critical Thinking and Writing, 6th edition(Colombo, Cullen, and Lisle, Eds.).
