Cell Division Animation

I have already posted two data rich investigations but I used ImageJ in a fun way recently and wanted to share that plan too. I gave my students a choice of PowerPoint or ImageJ and lots chose IJ. They needed to create an animation showing the 6 phases of the Cell Cycle (and it cycled and cycled). They needed to keep colors/sizes consistant by dupicating their frames and add titles to each "slice". But the rest was theirs! Attached is a sample of their work. I have more if you're interested.

Excellent Celeste! I was just teaching Mitosis and meiosis and was thinking that I would use ImageJ to show the stages. I have been inspired by you! I will be using it now with my freshmen.

Celeste, I really like it. I am going to use it next year to see if I can see an improvement in the learning of the stages of Mitosis.
Did you do Meiosis at any time?
Thanks
Pat
