TIDeS
Teaching with Investigation and Design in Science (TIDeS) envisions introductory undergraduate science courses in which future teachers learn science the way they are expected to teach science in the K–12 classroom. Introductory undergraduate science courses are a critical element of our vision, as they are often the only course in which future teachers engage with the concepts and approaches of science. We expand the opportunities for future teachers to engage in investigation and design that they can take forward into their own teaching through the creation new curricular materials focused on investigation and design that are broadly adaptable across the large community of institutions and faculty in biology, chemistry, Earth science, and physics, and to support faculty in teaching with these new materials.
