Earth Science in the City: A Reader is an introduction to the study of the natural setting of a city as it's foundation. It is also intended as a response to the growing concern about the lack of of geoscientific analysis in urban development. The editors have brought together 16 chapters by almost 60 authors to discuss the various perspectives and issues involved in the relationship between humanities growing urban centers and the natural environments in which they are situated.
