New York: The State of Earth Science Education: A Status Report for the Revolution II Workshop

In New York State, all students receive some Earth Science education in elementary and middle school, and nearly half of all high school students take Earth Science. This paper summarizes the historical reasons for the strength of Earth Science education in New York. It then delves into the resource and policy issues the state was facing in 2004 that challenged the state's ability to continue providing quality Earth Science education.
