This webquest requires students to use online resources, including internet search engines, to prepare projects on plate tectonics. They will learn about the types of crust, the Earth's outermost layers (lithosphere, asthenosphere), types of plate boundaries, and causes of plate motion. Students may choose to work as individuals to prepare a Powerpoint presentation of what they have learned, or in pairs to create a guidebook. Instructions, a set of links to internet resources, and assessment rubrics are included.
