This portal provides access to a wide variety of spatial data, imagery, and datasets. Themes include digital orthophotoquads, soils, precipitation, temperature, topographic maps, map indexes, hydrologic units, and common land units. Users can search for available data by geographic area such as county or state, use the point and click map tool to find their area of interest, use a gazetteer, or enter the latitude and longitude. The data is also searchable by theme. Thumbnails or samples of the data are provided so users can see if the material they have accessed is appropriate. The data can be downloaded directly, accessed by an ftp site, or ordered on media such as CD.
