The majority of these data are available on-line. This is part of an integrated National Ocean Service program supporting safe maritime navigation, more productive water-borne commerce, and the needs of the National Weather Service, coastal zone management, engineering and surveying communities. Included is information on the major United States ports, including the San Francisco Bay, New York/New Jersey Harbor, Houston/Galveston, Tampa Bay, Chesapeake Bay, Narragansett Bay, Soo Locks, and Los Angeles/Long Beach. Also included is U.S. tide prediction data, benchmark sheets, publications, and important notices to Mariners.
