Sea Ice: Global Warming

In this activity students watch a sea ice data visualization, read the accompanying information and discuss the cycle of freezing and thawing sea ice in the Arctic using the provided questions. After viewing the data visualization on sea ice and discussing its relationship to global warming students will create a diagram illustrating the positive feedback loop. This site also has suggestions for presentation and extension activities along with a link for more information about global change.
