At this site, users can access real-time and archived data on oceanographic conditions in the Gulf of Maine. Buoy data from GoMOOS buoys is collected hourly and includes wind speed and direction, current speed and direction, wave height, sea temperature, and salinity. Tools are available for graphing downloadable archived data in order to create custom plots for viewing historical conditions and trends. In addition, a variety of online data maps are available, as well as links to satellite imagery, NOAA buoy data, weather forecasts, and information for fisheries managers and fishermen.
