While engaged in this activity, students will gain a better understanding of the concept of solar temperature. They will learn facts about the sun, discover how the temperature of a star is measured, investigate the various temperature scales, observe images of the sun, classify stars according to temperature, and study Hertzsprung-Russell diagrams. Links to reference materials and to related sites are provided.
