Visitors can learn about the plants and animals that lived in the warm seas which covered much of the Earth during the Ordovician and Silurian Periods, as seen in the fossil flora and fauna of the Lake Timiskaming Fossil Center in Quebec, Canada. Labelled illustrations and descriptions are provided for early sponge-like organisms (Receptaculitids and Stromatoporoids), corals, brachiopods, gastropods, nautiloids, arthropods, echinoderms, and crinoids. A timeline is provided to show when various organisms arose and geologic events occurred. A French translation is available.
