Urban Sprawl

In this activity, students assume the roles of geologists who have been hired by the City of San Francisco to study whether recent urban development has gotten too close to active faults. Links to necessary satellite imagery and maps are provided. Students will prepare an executive summary accompanied by maps and/or imagery for presentation to the "City Council".
