The National Atmospheric Deposition Program monitors wet atmospheric deposition (chemical constituents deposited from the atmosphere via rain, sleet and snow) at over 220 National Trends Network sites throughout the United States. This site contains a long-term, high-quality database of atmospheric deposition for research support in the areas of acid rain, air quality, water quality, agricultural effects, forest productivity, materials effects, ecosystem studies, watershed studies and human health. Data summaries and plots are available on an annual, seasonal, monthly weekly and daily basis, and reflect measured concentrations of ions in precipitation, as well as pH level, for monitoring stations within each state. The reports accessible from this site include scientific research and assessment to evaluate the effects of atmospheric deposition on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
