This online tour offers users a 'journey' through the history of the Earth, with stops at particular points in time to examine the fossil record and stratigraphy. Clicking on an interactive time scale allows access to information on the geologc eras, from the Hadean (4.5- 3.8 billion years ago) to the Cenozoic (65 billion years ago to the present). Or, users can explore specific time periods by selecting the appropriate link, study the history of the gelogic time scale, or access a virtual exhibit on plate tectonics.
