This site is part of a larger module called Stalking the Mysterious Microbe, containing experiments, mysteries, and news stories relating to microbes. This particular site features an article focusing on thermophiles and the dynamics behind their heat-specific enzymes called extremozymes. The site also provides a menu of links to the microbe module's wealth of information and activities. One of the menus contains links to microbe mysteries where students are given a question and provided with background information, diagrams, movies, and links to terms to help them solve the microbe mystery.
