Science Friday is a radio talk show which can be heard each Friday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. Eastern Time over National Public Radio. Hosted by correspondent Ira Flatow, the show covers newsworthy topics on science and the environment. The show's archives contain shows for about the last seven years and are searchable by date, topic, or keyword. The teacher's section features a listing of shows by topic and a guide with ideas on how to incorporate material from the show into the classroom. There are also links to news articles, a blog, and information on obtaining written transcripts of shows. Science Friday is also available as a podcast, downloadable files than can be saved on a computer or portable player and played any time.
