This resource for students offers review materials to supplement discussions of the text Earth: Portrait of a Planet. A series of original animations helps students to visualize dynamic Earth processes, with an emphasis on plate tectonics, geologic hazards, and earth systems science concepts. Additional materials include overviews, key terms and definitions, crossword puzzles, and multiple-choice quizzes to test students' understanding of chapter concepts. Links to relevant current events are updated biweekly, and feature articles are offered to help students apply what they've learned and to illustrate further the complexity and beauty of the Earth system.
