The Paleobiology Database is a public resource for the scientific community. Its purpose is to provide global, collection-based occurrence and taxonomic data for marine and terrestrial animals and plants of any geological age, as well as web-based software for statistical analysis of the data. From this webpage, users can access the database and search for taxa, specific collections as well as request maps, data tables, downloads and diversity curves. Currently the database hosts over 10,000 published references, nearly 40,000 fossil collections and over 410,000 taxonomic occurrences.
