The American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC) is committed to heightening the awareness of the vital importance of the first two years of collegiate mathematics education to the future of our students and the welfare of the United States and Canada. The AMATYC works to ensure the preparation of scientifically and technologically literate citizens who are capable of making educated decisions, lead the development and implementation of the curricular, pedagogical, assessment, and professional standards for two-year college mathematics education, assist in the preparation and continuing professional development of a competent professional mathematics faculty that is skilled in resourceful pedagogy and is diverse with respect to ethnicity and gender and be a network for communication, policy determination, and action among faculty, affiliates, other professional organizations, accrediting associations, governing agencies, industry, and the public sector. This website is the homepage for the AMATYC and contains conference and workshop information, news, a job board, links to other mathematics organizations, a strategic plan and much more.
