Tanya Atwater, professor of geosciences at the University of Santa Barbara, hosts this homepage. The homepage contains information regarding Atwater's teaching, research, publications and animations. Users can download animations free of charge, although registration is required. Visualizations cover subjects such as plate tectonics, California tectonic history and oil reservoirs. This is a useful site for scientific visualizations for the west coast of the United States.
