Global Volcanism Program
http://www.volcano.si.edu/

The Global Volcanism Program (GVP) seeks a better understanding of all volcanoes through documenting their eruptions during the past 10,000 years and has created a comprehensive computer database and archive of relevant maps, photos, and documents. This website allows researchers to investigate a specific volcano's benefits and dangers. A map of volcano locations around the world, volcanic activity reports and notices, popular volcano websites and a listserv are also available.
