This site, supported by Washtington University's Young Scientist Program, is an interactive science teaching and community outreach tool, staffed and maintained by volunteer scientists and engineers from around the world. The MadSci Network Ask-An-Expert service fields questions in 26 different subjects, covering topics in astronomy, the biological sciences, chemistry, computer science, earth sciences, engineering, and physics. Users can view answered questions or ask their own. Additional resources include MAD Labs, Random Knowledge Generator, MadSci FAQs, and MadSci Library. The site also provides activities and teaching resources for K-12 educators.
