The Affective Domain Related to Science Education and its Evaluation

This review paper discusses several approaches to measuring student outcomes in the affective domain. The author notes that there have been several uses and meanings of the word ‘attitudes’ in science teaching, leading to confusion. Several different authors’ representations of attitudes in science are discussed. The bulk of this paper addresses methods to evaluate affective outcomes and attitudes, with recommendations for how to use the various methods.
