Gary Parker, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

This site by Gary Parker at the University of Illinois features an "e-book" about morphodynamics. The book is divided into four major sections: sediment transport, morphodynamics of rivers, fluvial fans and fan-deltas, and morphodynamics of subaqueous fans and fan-deltas deposited by turbidity currents. Information is provided in a variety of ways: the main lectures are in PowerPoint and are linked to Excel files, most of which serve as graphical user interfaces for code in Visual Basic for Applications. Further explanations are given as Word documents, and phenomena are illustrated with mpeg video clips. Files are organized by format type, but all listings clearly label in which chapters the information can be found. The site is continually updated.
