This website features ARNAT, a research network hosted by the Australian Institute for Marine Sciences (AIMS) aimed at heightening communication among researchers studying toxic algae found in Australian waters. These toxic algae are found in both marine and freshwater environments and adversely affect human health, water quality, livestock, wildlife, tourism and aquaculture operations. ARNAT intends to foster scientific interactions and educate researchers about different techniques and approaches used to address similar research problems. This site includes links to informational pages about Anatoxins, Brevetoxins, Ciguatoxins, Cylindrospermopsin, Domoic Acid, Microcystins/Nodularins, Okadaic Acid, and Saxitoxins. It also features downloads of proceedings and newsletters, links to sites of interest, a discussion list, and a mailing list.
