This Journal of Invertebrate Biology scholarly article describes two separate occurrences of QPX-like parasitic infections that caused substantial mortality to 1.5-2 year-old hard clams grown in clam lease sites along the southeastern coast of Massachusetts in the summer and fall of 1995.
