Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, California Protection Agency

The California Environmental Protection Agency produced this PDF document to provide a basic explanation of risk assessment for laypeople involved in environmental health issues. The document contains a detailed description of the four-step risk assessment process developed by the CEPA and instructions on how to use health risk assessments. The outcomes from the risk assessment help determine risk and hazard associated with toxic chemicals in our environment.
