This site is home to Saturday Academy, an organization partnering with the Red Layer Microbial Observatory Project to provide a variety of educational opportunities for secondary (8-12th grade) and university students. Saturday Academy is a non-profit, extra curricular, precollege education program hosted by Oregon State University (OSU). The program enlists community professionals to share their facilities, equipment, and expertise through hands-on classes, workshops and apprenticeships with special emphasis on placed on the sciences, math and technology. The website includes the following menu items: our mission, classes, how to register, science mentorships, apprenticeships in science and engineering, advocates for women in science, engineering and mathematics, engineering camp, donations, and other locations.
