Burd Run Interdisciplinary Watershed Research Laboratory, Shippensburg University

This project uses precipitation gauges to compare data collected by NEXRAD radar with actual rainfall. It challenges student to learn about radar technology and understand its benefits and limitations. The educational goal of this project is to engage undergraduate students in an inexpensive complex field research project in which they learn multiple research methods. The site also features procedures, assessment methods, possible modifications, and an example data sheet.
