Measuring student understanding of geological time
Jeff Dodick, Nir Orion 2003 Journal of Research in Science Teaching v40 no4 p415-442

This paper includes a copy and an assessment of the GeoTAT, a test of students' aptitude to understand geologic time, particularly their ability to work out stratigraphic relationships and to make deductions about past events based on present situations. It also deals with the evolution of the understanding of events and time.
