A Role-Playing Exercise in Coastal Geology and Land Use
Jeffrey W. Niemitz 2000 Journal of Geoscience Education v48 no5 p578

In this role-playing exercise, students represent stakeholders in a court case involving a couple who have lost land on a barrier island due to flooding. Now that it is a natural navigable waterway, the US government owns it. Student roles include the former owners, the US Army Corps of engineers, conservationists, and others.
