Coastally Restricted Forests
Aimlee D. Laderman 1998 Oxford University Press

This book discusses the ecology and management of freshwater forests limited to within 250 km of a seacoast in the temperate and boreal zones of the Northern Hemisphere. The chapters deal with a broad range of fields, covering topics such as physico-chemical features of soil, water, and vegetation; genetics; pathology; species diversity (including rare and endangered biota); geomorphology and geographic distribution; harvest and utilization; and revegetation. Sections are devoted to systems with diverse and dominant forests in Asia and North America, and to the commercially valuable genus Chamaecyparis.
