Bridget James

Earth & Climate Sciences

San Francisco State University

Bridget James is a full-time Senior Lecturer for the Department of Earth & Climate Sciences at San Francisco State University, where she teaches upper- and lower-division general education geology courses.  She also teaches part-time at De Anza College and for the San Mateo Community College District.  Overall, she has been an educator in Geology, Oceanography and Meteorology since 2001, and an online educator since 2008.  She has experience using the following Learning Management Systems: Etudes, Blackboard, Moodle and Canvas. Bridget served as a Cohort 1 Change Agent and as a Peer Leader in the SAGE 2YC project https://serc.carleton.edu/sage2yc/teams/noca/index.html

Bridget is currently a board member (webmaster) for NAGT 2YC. She is also working toward her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership with a focus in Geoscience Education, Equity and Social Justice at San Francisco State University, with a planned graduation date of Spring 2025.
