I am a Professor of geology in the Earth & Climate Sciences Department at San Francisco State University. I teach Mineralogy & Petrology, Geochemistry, Volcanology, Global Tectonics, and our scientific writing course. My research surrounds continental collisional orogens, high-pressure and/or high-temperature metamorphism and accompanying melting, and deformational processes particularly around the brittle-ductile transition.
