April 28, 2018 Capacity-Building workshop on Organizational Change
A workshop held simultaneously on campuses of Seattle Pacific University and Central Washington University (linked via videoconference) for NextGen Implementation Teams, Management Team, and Working groups.
Goals of this workshop:- Teams will learn about and be able to use the "River Model" (Elrod and Kezar, 2016) to guide improvements and transformations in STEM teacher preparation at their institutions and in their regions
- Teams will develop messages and plans to share the vision for changes to their STEM Teacher Preparation Programs
- Teams will begin to answer Landscape Analysis questions and develop a plan for gathering data (post-workshop) about the current status of their STEM teacher preparation programs, students, and capacity for change. Specific attention will be given to factors that affect the success of diverse students in STEM/STEM teaching.
