I tried to use Excel to graph 2 variables. The students had measured their foot and leg lengths. Then they measured the time it took to run/walk 20 m. I wanted to see if there was a connection between length of foot or leg and time to run/walk. I couldn't get the graph I wanted. I could graph both variables (length and speed) as a line graph with 2 lines, but I could not get one variable as the X-axis and the other as the Y-axis. In disgust, I gave up and distributed graph paper. We graphed it ourselves. There was no real correlation BTW.
