Thanks for the GIS feedback

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions on my earthquake lesson. I haven't yet implemented it (couldn't book the computer lab until the last week in March--also during MCAS--argh!), but I've gone back and incorporated your suggestions into the planning.

I'm also realizing as I plan this, and after implementing my ImageJ lesson, that I'm going to have to be flexible with the plans and see how quickly my kids move. I have yet to accurately predict what my students can do this year; they all differ so much depending on the particular subject we're studying. However, I think with the worksheets I have, and everyone's suggestions, I will at least have enough in my arsenal to keep everyone engaged for the duration of the lesson.

I'll let you know how it goes...

I enjoyed your rocking to "Lost in the Ozone" story from your class. I took the lesson we developed and submitted it to NASA as I am a NASA Star Partner with them. I have to do 20 hours of documentable work about the Sun per year to remain in good standing and guess what ... it is the sun's energy that causes the hole in the ozone. So "Lost in the Ozone" is now a part of NASA (and you got credit as a collaborator).

Notice of the six people who have responded to Online 4 three are from our ImageJ group! We rock! Have you located any good summer institutes for next year?

I am looking forward to our reunion next month.
