Hi,
I have been looking through other posts all week, and just tonight (after the deadline) have actually commented on them. There are so many great plans out there! I am finally getting my investigations together, but still do not have the details together to post the plans. If anyone would like to check back on this page in a few weeks and comment on what I finally get together, that would be great.
I am planning a basic excel investigation in a few weeks, still deciding on what the research question will be...will be dealing with body systems, and was leaning toward lung volume vs. height. Students are working on science fair research now, too, and this would be a way to reinforce experimental procedures and especially help with data analysis. However, I really like MaryAnn's stomach acid experiment, and I may see if that is a better fit, as it also could tie into the Earth science unit I will begin right after we wrap up life science.
The second investigation I would like to do will be dealing with earthquakes and GIS. The math teacher on my team has done a workshop on GIS and she also wants to implement a lesson, so we are working on this together and do not have any details yet.
Sorry to not have been a better contributer for the online events, but I really have been following all your plans, and they are great! Thanks in advance to any who are willing to check back on occasion and comment on my late plans. I cannot attend the final meeting on April 5 (plans made prior to the date change) but will strive to be done with 2 implementations by then, and perhaps can send along outcome/evaluation with Nat.
Cheers!
Sue T.
