This is an end of unit lesson I will do with my students in February

They will have just completed the Ecology unit and have learned about biomes and conservation. Hopefully this activity will illustrate the impact of rainforest deforestation

Is this the activity from the summer program? I've been thinking about using the deforestation pics too later in the year after the ecology unit. I'd like to find out how it works out for you and if things need to be changed a little from the format and lesson that was performed this summer.

It's great when a lesson that exists can be used with little modification to enhance content teaching. I'm hopeful that the technique of using ImageJ to compare before and after finds use in other classrooms as well!
