Hi Mary:

I wanted to admire your work, but had some problems opening the 1st and 3rd documents. Did you create them in Microsoft Word? You _might_ need to save them in Rich Text Format (RTF) and post them again in order to share them.

Looking forward smiles,
LuAnn

Hi Mary-

I like your idea to have the student look at glacier data and then tie that in to a recent severe weather occurrence such as Katrina. That's a great use of ImageJ (measuring the glaciers). Which images are you going to use. You might of posted this but I couldn't open some of your documents.

It worked for me both times so let me know if this works. I saved it in rich text format.

This looks interesting! We are doing global warming in the spring after the weather. Could you post a copy of what the graph of surface temp v. hurricane strength looks like?

Mary,
Sounds like a great lesson. Would love to hear how it turned out with the kids. Great way to make connections with what is happening in our environment. Will you complete this activity by the time we meet in early April? Would like to know how the kids handled getting all the data.

Hello Mary,

This looks like a great lesson. I would also like to know how it works out with kids.

Thanks,

MaryAnn
