This post was edited by Nathaniel Smith on Oct, 2007
To introduce data analysis skills, I have my four 7th Grade classes study data from the daily school attendance sheets that we all get.

1. This is the Excel template for the Attendance project.
2. The Daily Data tab is set up for my 1280 x 1024 pixel PowerBook.
3. The other tabs are set up to project well on the data projector. This is why they are moved over to the left side.
4. I have no idea how this template will work on other platforms because I have only had limited experience with PC's.
5. Enter data in the gray areas only!
6. Start by zeroing all the data in the gray areas.
7. Enter a date in cell K2.
8. Have students enter attendance numbers in cells F5...G10.
9. This information will show up as the "Current Graph".
10.Copy and paster cells F5 ...G10 into the gray area beneath the date entered. This would be J5 ...K10 to start.
11.The template automatically figures out what day of the week for the Day-of-Week graph.
12.If you change stuff (not in a gray cell) good luck!
